This design is called "Li'l Stinkers". Isn't it cute? It's not quite finished yet. I need to do some bullion stitches for the stem (I HATE bullions) and then the little bows on the skunks will be pink and white gingham :)

Creative Monday is back!
Happy Monday! Sorry I missed last week. Leaving town just messes with my productivity. I'm back though, with some more smocking!

Creative Monday: Smocking
It's not a quick craft, but this is one of my favorite things to do.
Sitting in my rocking chair, soaking in the sunbeams, smocking away. It's just so relaxing!

(Finally Finished Project, that is!)

Why, just a little smocked bib, of course!
I started this back when we lived in our apartment. We moved a little over a year and a half ago...and I think I started this before then, so almost 2 years ago? Oops.
And yes, I AM the queen of procrastination! :)

Creative Monday
Sorry I missed last week. Nothing like starting a community and bailing out so soon, huh? ;) We were in Chicago for my darling brother in law's wedding (which was fabulous, by the way!) and I just never got around to crafting. So, to make up for things, I have two this week!
I've just been working on some little handwork things that relax me.
First up: smocking. I'm working on a scottie dog design. I changed the colors to pink and gray though. I have a hard time just following directions!
Next up: more beaded ornaments. They are my standby project:
Here's the ever-growing collection. I really need to finish them and get a shop set up before too much longer!
I'm hoping to get some more finished this week. Ideally, some baby gifts and maybe even start on some Halloween decorations. :P

After almost a year, I'm back at it!
(that's smocking, for those who don't know. The plain lines are called backsmocking. You have to do that to the backside of any design so that it keeps its shape.)
No, the design is not me announcing anything. We're now selling through a boutique in St. Louis, and that just happens to be a design that they like.
Here's a closeup:
I've also been working on beaded snowflakes.
I started with this:
and now I have this:

I think I've got around 100 now. I'm hoping to have 400-500 to sell this year. We'll see!
Now then...back to work. I'm going to see if I can figure out how to make felt play food for the girls' (the little one I nanny for and her cousin) birthday party, since I'm down to 2 weeks. Eek! Also, I can't hear the stupid sprinklers in my sewing room...which is good. That noise is like fingernails on a chalkboard right now!
