Only in Idaho....

On my way home from Jeff's office, I get to see this beauty every day...that's right, folks, it's an inflatable HUNTIN' snowman!

Why pain killers & sewing don't mix

This is why I should not try to sew when I:
-am stressed
-haven't slept
-am on pain killers

Do you see something wrong with this picture??

No? Let's try a close-up:

Craaaaaaaaaaaaaaap. I guess I need to redo the legs. Arg.

Wisdom tooth be gone!! ;)

Ewwww...

This topic could also be called: Gee, I wonder whyyyy this tooth was causing me pain?!

I'm home and alive. The whole thing took about 45 minutes. It took a little more work to get it out because two of the roots were basically fused into a mega root and of course, it was growing in the opposite direction of the other root. It figures.

And because I am my father's child...I had to take pictures of that which caused me pain. I proudly took my tooth with me like they'd removed a bullet or something. :)

Hope these pics don't gross anyone out. I totally understand that I'm a weirdo for taking them in the first place! LOL...

Say it with me now. Ew. There was a lot of decay because I can't get a toothbrush back there. My dentist kept commenting on how small my mouth is. Lovely.

Here's a better shot of the roots. No wonder it hurt!

And here's with my hand, just to give some perspective of size:

So yeah...there you have it. I survived. Now hopefully I'll heal quickly. I currently have an appointment on the 18th to have the rest of them removed, but he's considering sending me to an oral surgeon instead because one of my lower teeth has roots that are curving toward the jaw like a fishhook. Either way, I'm going to be knocked out for that round, thankyouverymuch!

Anyway...time for an ice pack and hopefully Jeff will be back with my pain meds soon!

Lack of sleep....

I'm having one of my wisdom teeth pulled on Wednesday and it's been causing me a lot of pain. I've only been sleeping in 2-3 hour shifts, but at least I've been productive in the meantime!

I've got 11 ornaments finished:

and the Annie embroidery is almost finished:

I also have all of the Annie limbs stitched up and ready to be stuffed. Yay for progress, at least! :D

My peaceful morning...

I like this snow fall on Mondays thing we've got going on. Just enough to make it pretty...not slick.

I finally have the decorations up and the living room is mostly clean. I might add some little red garland to the fireplace...we'll see. Doesn't it look so cozy though? :)

About Me

Boise, Idaho, United States
To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury; and refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy, not respectable; and wealthy, not rich; to study hard, think quietly, talk gently, act frankly; to listen to stars and birds, to babes and sages, with open heart; to bear all cheerfully, do all bravely, await occasion, hurry never; in a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious grow up through the common. This is to be my symphony. William Henry Channing
