Catching up...

Aaaand here we are a month later. Life has been crazy. I flew home at the beginning of the month for a 30th birthday party and then my dad ended up in the hospital for just over a week...and I've been planning a Halloween party, which has sadly occupied most of my life right now.

Here's my most recent project for the party:

Gravestones!! These are made of foam insulation sheets and carved with a WonderCutter hot tool and my old pottery tools, and they're modeled after the gravestones surrounding the Haunted Mansion at Disney World.

In progress:

And stacked together:

I'm about half finished with the carving. I'm hoping to finish that today and then paint them and distress them tomorrow. *crosses fingers*

About Me

Boise, Idaho, United States
To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury; and refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy, not respectable; and wealthy, not rich; to study hard, think quietly, talk gently, act frankly; to listen to stars and birds, to babes and sages, with open heart; to bear all cheerfully, do all bravely, await occasion, hurry never; in a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious grow up through the common. This is to be my symphony. William Henry Channing
